For a long time now, new home listings have been tough to find in many U.S. cities.

The housing market has been so hot that every time a listing has gone up for sale, a swarm of would-be buyers immediately has buzzed around it. Many of these homes have sold in just days, if not hours.

But that is starting to change. As the housing market undergoes a significant cooling trend, new home listings suddenly are popping up all over the place, making it easier for shoppers to find the home of their dreams.

That is especially true in a handful of markets. Following are the cities with populations of at least 750,000 that had the biggest spike in new home listings during June of this year when compared to June 2021, according to a new Redfin analysis.
